I paint animals to tell human stories
Hello, I am Babita
For years, I lived by roles. Professional. Wife. Mother. Caregiver. And while I was busy showing up for everyone else, I slowly lost touch with myself.
Painting found me during a season of change, not as a career plan, but as a quiet return to who I was beneath all the expectations. What began as a personal escape slowly became a journey of rediscovery, healing, and expression.
Today, I create art for people who are evolving too. For those standing at the edge of change. For those rebuilding confidence. For those trying to reconnect with parts of themselves they've silenced for too long.
My paintings explore the emotional layers we carry - resilience, uncertainty, hope, freedom, longing, becoming! Animals appear in my work as emotional mirrors, symbols of instinct, transformation, curiosity, and quiet courage. They allow me to tell deeply human stories without words.
My recent series, Beyond Emergence, reflects what happens after this transformation. The softer awakenings. The small moments of curiosity, connection, stillness, and self-awareness that slowly bring us back to ourselves.
Every piece I create carries one intention: to remind someone that even after change, loss, or uncertainty… there is still space to grow, rediscover, and begin again. Because that is what art gave me.
