I’m Babita, a Singapore-based fine artist known for creating emotive contemporary artworks that blend abstract realism with storytelling and transformation. My artistic journey began as a deeply personal search for identity, after an 18-year corporate career, I stepped away to embrace motherhood fully and rediscover who I was beyond professional titles and daily routines.

Art found me during this time of transition. It became my language for emotions I couldn’t always express, my sanctuary for reflection, healing, and hope. Each painting is a conversation between chaos and calm, revealing the resilience and beauty that emerge through life’s uncertainties.

Using acrylics, oils, textures, and mixed media, I create layered compositions that reflect the balance between control and spontaneity. My process begins in stillness, laying meditative abstract foundations and grows intuitively into rich, textured worlds where realism and abstraction meet.

I often feature animals, flowers, and abstract portraits as symbols of identity, resilience, and transformation. Through vibrant colours, textural contrasts, and bold brushwork, my art invites collectors and viewers to pause, reflect, and find their own stories within the canvas.
