Chloris
The story of Chloris, the Greek goddess of flowers, deeply resonates with me as an artist inspired by nature’s transformation. Once a nymph, she was pursued by Zephyrus, god of the west wind, and though their love began forcibly, it eventually flourished. Zephyrus granted her dominion over flowers, making her the goddess of spring. Wherever she walked, flowers bloomed, symbolizing nature’s renewal and growth. Chloris' ability to breathe life into the first rose mirrors the creative process I embrace—transforming raw emotions into beauty. Her story embodies the balance of fragility and strength, themes I explore in my own work. Her myth reflects not only the cycle of death and rebirth in nature but also the power of creativity, which I strive to capture in my art, channelling hope, renewal, and the beauty of transformation.
