"Drifts" encapsulates the my intimate connection with the ocean, inspired by the daily spectacle of ships travelling from my balcony. It almost became a game for me and my father to solve the puzzle of which ships have docked and which ones have left. It reminds me of the fleeting nature of life as my father passed away a few years back and I know that I will never get to have those fleeting funny moments with him anymore. It maybe a few years but he is ever present in my life all the time. I am forever grateful to those tiny moments and instances that lit up my dad’s eyes and brought a smile to his face.
